VEGETABLE GARDENS FOR WOMEN

Nazareth has built two irrigation projects where women (also in the dry season) can grow vegetables in a biological way. Therefore their families have healthy nourishment throughout the year and some income by selling part of the vegetables.

The first project was finished in 2018 on Nazareth ground with two watertowers, connected with an electric solar pump. This part of Nazareth gound is surrounded by a fence to keep chickens and goats out. From the towers pipes go to taps near the vegetable beds. Women from the village can grow their vegetables here for free without having to walk a long way with buckets full of water on their heads.

The second project was finished in 2019 in Chagontha village, not far from Nazareth, where Nazareth also owns a piece of land. Women use it gratefully!

These projects where financed by Manos Unidas from Spain.
